Federal Court Grants Judgment in Amone

Mara Amone vs. Housing and Community Development Corp. of Hawaii, Civil No. CV04-00508

In June 2005 Judge Alan Kay  granted summary judgment to the plaintiff class in the Amone class action, holding that disabled tenants of public housing may be entitled to an adjustment in their rents if they need an electric medical device (such as an air conditioner or nebulizer).  Class members may also be entitled to retroactive reimbursements.  Shelby Anne Floyd,  is lead counsel for the plaintiffs in Amone v. HCDCH (CV04-00508 )
